FundsFix or DonorsFix menu is not under the QuickBooks Company menu

  1. Verify that you are running a supported version of QuickBooks.
  2. Verify that FundsFix or DonorsFix is installed.
    1. Go to the Windows control panel installed program list
      For XP: Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs
      For Vista/Windows 7: Start - Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features
    2. Scroll through the list and see if FundsFix or DonorsFix is an installed program.
  3. Verify that FundsFix or DonorsFix is connected to QuickBooks.
    1. Start QuickBooks and select Preferences... under the Edit menu.
    2. Select Integrated Applications along the left side and Company Preferences along the top.
    3. FundsFix or DonorsFix should be listed as an Application Name and there should be a check mark in the left column next to the name.
    4. Select FundsFix or DonorsFix and click on Properties....
    5. The "Allow this application to read and modify this company file" check box should be checked and the remaining check boxes should not be set.
  4. If FundsFix or DonorsFix is not listed as an integrated application, try manually connecting to QuickBooks.
    1. Exit QuickBooks

    1. Following the procedure "Manually Connecting FundsFix (or DonorsFix) to QuickBooks" in the FundsFix or DonorsFix help file - double click on FundsFixHelp.chm in C:\Program Files\QFix Software\FundsFix (or DonorsFixHelp.chm in C:\Program Files\QFix Software\DonorsFix)
    2. Restart QuickBoooks and check to see that FundsFix or DonorsFix is listed as an integrated application
  2. Start QuickBooks in Administrator Mode. This step is only needed for Windows Vista or Windows 7 and is normally completed by the FundsFix or DonorsFix setup.
    1. Locate the file "qbw32.exe" located in either "c:\Programs Files\Intuit\QuickBooks NNNN" or "c:\Programs Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks NNNN" where NNNN is the year of the installed version.
    2. Right click on "qbw32.exe" and select Run as administrator
    3. After QuickBooks starts, see if the FundsFix or DonorsFix menu is under the Company menu
    4. Exit QuickBooks - do not attempt running QuickBooks in administrator mode
  3. If the FundsFix or DonorsFix menu is still not present, the QuickBooks installation may be damaged. Follow the procedures in the next section "FundsFix or DonorsFix not Responding"

FundsFix or DonorsFix not Responding

The FundsFix or DonorsFix menu appears under the QuickBooks Comany menu but nothing happens when a menu is selected. Try these steps one at a time until the menu works.

  1. Exit and Restart QuickBooks.
  2. Uninstall and reinstall FundsFix or DonorsFix.
  3. Uninstall FundsFix or DonorsFix. Do a QuickBooks repair install. Reinstall FundsFix or DonorsFix.
  4. Uninstall FundsFix or DonorsFix. Do a QuickBooks clean install. Reinstall FundsFix or DonorsFix.
