There seems to be no connection to FundsFix when starting QuickBooks
When you start QuickBooks the first time after you install FundsFix you should get a message asking your permission to establish a connection with FundsFix. After you set the permission, you should see the FundsFix menu under the QuickBooks
Company menu.
If FundsFix is not under the QuickBooks Company menu verify that:
(Vista/Windows 7 users - Use this installation procedure)
- You are running a supported version of QuickBooks.
- US version of QuickBooks Pro/Premier 2006/2007/2008/2009/2010 or Enterprise 6.0/7.0/8.0/9.0/10.0; for Microsoft
Vista/Windows 7® Quickbooks Pro/Premier 2007 or Enterprise 7 R7* or later
- Canadian version of QuickBooks Pro/Premier 2008/2009/2010
- FundsFix is installed.
- Go to the Windows control panel installed program list
For XP: Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs
For Vista/Windows 7: Start - Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features
- Scroll through the list and see if FundsFix is an installed program.
- FundsFix is connected to QuickBooks.
- Start QuickBooks and select Preferences... under the Edit menu.
- Select Integrated Applications along the left side and Company Preferences along the top.
- FundsFix should be listed as an Application Name and there should be a check mark in the left column next to the name.
- Select FundsFix and click on Properties....
- The Allow this application to read and modify this company file check box should be checked and the remaining check boxes should not be set.
- If FundsFix is not listed as an integrated application, try manually connecting to QuickBooks.
- Exit QuickBooks
- Following the procedure "Manually Connecting FundsFix to QuickBooks" in the FundsFix help file (double click on FundsFixHelp.chm in C:\Program Files\QFix Software\FundsFix)
- Restart QuickBoooks and check to see that FundsFix is listed as an integrated application
- The QuickBooks installation may be damaged.
- Exit QuickBooks and locate the file reboot.bat (or reboot) located in c:\Programs Files\Intuit\QuickBooks xxxx where xxxx
is a year. Double click on this file and when it finishes restart QuickBooks
(using Run as Administrator for Vista and Windows 7). If the FundsFix menu is
not listed under the Company menu proceed to the next step.
- Uninstall FundsFix; uninstall QuickBooks; reinstall QuickBooks; reinstall FundsFix and proceed like a new install.
*To check the QuickBooks release, start QuickBooks; press F2; and look for the "R" number on the first line after the word "Release". To update the QuickBooks
release, use "QuickBooks Update..." under the Help menu.
